Behavior
Kindergarten Behavior Plan
Our Rules
1. Be kind to everyone.
2. Eyes on speaker.
3. Listen when someone is talking.
4. Raise your hand to talk.
5. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
Behavior Choices
Our class has a behavior chart in our classroom with each
student’s name on a froggy. Each
day your child will return home with a stamp on his/her behavior chart that
indicates how his/her school day went.
Please discuss your child’s behavior each evening and talk about the
importance of following the class rules.
The behavior chart should stay in your child’s red folder for the entire
month.
Card Color and Corresponding
Stamp
Green = Go for great choices = “SUPER”
Stamp
Yellow = Proceed with caution/uh-oh = “Good Job”
stamp
Red = Stop and Think/Yikes = “Please Fix”
stamp
Blue = I’ve got the blues = “Sad Face” stamp/ note home (or
phone call)
1.
Everyone begins the day on the green
smiley face.
2.
First
offense, a verbal warning. If the
inappropriate behavior continues, the student’s frog is moved to the yellow
uh-oh face.
3.
Second
offense, the frog face is moved to the red straight face, the child will go to
his/her seat to “Stop and Think”, then talk to the teacher about more
appropriate choices. The child
loses 5 minutes of centers or outside time.
4.
Third
offense, the frog face is moved to the blue sad face.
A note will be sent home to parent and/or a phone call home.
The child loses the privilege of playing with other students and can only
color on a piece of
paper.
If
for some reason your child does not come home with a stamp it may be because of
something that came up unexpectedly like a fire drill, lost backpack,
substitute, etc. Thank you so much
for all of your support!!!!!!!
